This Week’s Featured Cocktail: the Jello Shot

Forrest Miller – Muze Staff Writer

Jello: could there be anything more jolly?  It’s jiggly, is delicious, it’s fun to slurp, and it’s festive.  It’s also the foundation of the infamous party drink, the Jello shot.  While the Jello shot isn’t exactly a cocktail (it comes in a Dixie cup instead of a martini glass, after all) it does have a certain Christmas-y spirit to it.  How could we resist featuring such a delightful drink just before the Christmas holidays?

Jello Shots

Ingredients:

  • 3 boxes Jello of desired flavor
  • 2 ½ cups vodka
  • 3 1/3 cups water

Directions:

Bring water to a boil and remove from heat.  Slowly stir in Jello until completely dissolved.  Wait 3 minutes.  Stir in the vodka.  Pour into Dixie cups and freeze
