This week’s featured Cocktail: The Derby Fizz

Everyone likes breakfast and everyone likes drinking. Why not combine the two? This week Muze Magazine proudly brings you the Derby Fizz. The Derby Fizz has a whole egg in it. Now, bear with me here; eggs are not actually all that unusual in cocktails. Eggs can be found in a variety of drinks including a version of the Whiskey Sour. Eggs can add a frothy quality as well as a twist on an original taste.
The Derby Fizz
- 1 ½ oz. blended whiskey
- 1 teaspoon orange curaçao
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- 1 whole egg
- Soda water
Shake everything (except soda water) and strain into a highball glass full of ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with bacon (just kidding).
