One of the most surprising things about the Museum of Sex in New York City, besides the $17 entrance fee, is the fact that it exists at all. The Museum, located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, has been in business since October 2002. Founded by Daniel Gluck, the mission of the museum is “to preserve, and present the history, evolution, and cultural significance of human sexuality,” according to a MoSex press kit. There is a Permanent Collection, which displays period photography, vintage vibrators, and objects of Kink, i.e. Furries and BDSM. In addition to these, there are other exhibits, such as Sex and the Moving Image, which captures the evolution of sex on screen, to The Sex Lives of Animals, which documents that humans may not be the only species that engages in sex for pleasure.

Visit the MoSex website for a $3 off admission coupon and upcoming events:, and like it on FaceBook Below is the address and phone number for the museum. Hope to see you there!
