Green Day Singer Billie Joe Armstrong Out of Commission – Concert Dates Unclear

By Lance Norris – Muze Staff Writer

If you were planning on seeing Green Day anytime soon, you may have to be content to watch them on video. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong was admitted to an Italian hospital last weekend for a ‘throat aliment’. Band mates Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt apologized to fans via a video message. On Monday, Armstrong returned to L.A. claiming his voice was completely gone.

No word yet on if the band has pulled out of the iHeartRadio Music Fest in Vegas on September 21st. The only other date on the band’s schedule this year is the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans on October 27th. The band plans to release three new albums over the next few months, aptly titled “Uno”, “Dos” and “Tre”.
