It is hard not to judge a book by its cover, when that book happens to be August Playboy Playmate Beth Williams. However, one should not dismiss the blond bombshell as just another pretty face. This small town Midwestern girl plans on combining her college degree and blossoming modeling career into more than just sexy photo shoots. Her concern over the unhealthy stress aspiring models put on their bodies has led her to collaborate with YOR health, a company that produces products that aids models in staying properly nourished and helps improve digestive health. Do not expect Beth’s recent success to be a flash in the pan. Recently, the up-and-coming model was kind enough to sit down with Muze Magazine for an interview.

Beth, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with Muze. You obviously have a pretty cool story to tell and I’m sure interesting tales of the life and experiences of a Playboy model, but first wanted to find out more about where you grew up your background and how you go into modeling. Tell us a little about where you grew up in Southern Ohio and your, shall we say, pre-modeling days.
I grew up in a small town in Southern Ohio.  There wasn’t much to do so we had to make our own fun!  We would always go 4-wheel riding, hunting, fishing, ant boating. We also played games like Flip Cup and Beer Pong to pass the time! I enjoyed growing up in a small town though because it helped me understand the importance of working hard. Also, I grew up around people with good morals and values and I still live by them today.

So, after finishing your degrees at Ohio University you had more time to pursue modeling? Did things move along pretty quick for you in getting modeling gigs? How was it early on?
Yes. Once graduating from Ohio University I was able to get an agency. I didn’t know a whole lot about the modeling industry in the beginning. So, I took me a while to build a good model book and to understand how castings and etc. went. But as far as the modeling part, I never had a problem with it. For some reason I am rarely nervous in front of the camera. Therefore, I am very lucky that I was able to book jobs right away.

Did Playboy find you or did you reach out to them? You initially shot some Playboy Special edition shoots right?
I submitted pictures to Playboy myself. I was shocked when I got the phone call. Yes. I first shot for Playboy’s Special Editions. I was later voted as the Special Editions Model of the Year and landed a cover! Later, I tested for Playmate and Mr. Hefner approved me!

OK, fast forward a little – you get selected by Playboy, do the shoot (which must have been a pretty fun and incredible experience), get published and now you’ve joined this exclusive club of Playboy playmates. Small town Ohio girl to celebrity in a short period of time – pretty heady experience? Surreal? What was that all like?
I am still the same girl. I don’t see myself as a celebrity. I still like to hang out in my camo clothes and my Rocky boots! I still can’t believe that I am a Playmate! However, that being said, I am not done! There is still so much I want to do. I am always promoting, networking, and shooting. I want to go as far as I can go!

Hey gotta ask about the Mansion and the events you get to attend. Do you get to stop by the Mansion when you are in town? What’s that place really like? Dish please!
Yes! Whenever I am in town I just call up and say that I want to stop by. The mansion is awesome! It is a beautiful place. There are all different kinds of monkey’s, birds, and fish on the grounds.  Also, the staff is incredible.  My favorite part is the food! You can order whatever you want 24/7! Yum!

You seem pretty focused on using this experience to help move forward with some of your own projects and expanding your career focus. So very cool! Tell us what you’ve been busy with.
Right now I have a some big project’s in the works. A few of them I can’t really talk about right now. However, I have also been shooting a lot of various companies and I also became a representative for YOR Health. The YOR Health products are amazing and I am fortunate enough to have met some great people that have allowed me to become of this organization. I am very excited for what the future holds. I am a hard worker and I am working really hard to make everything happen.

Back in Ohio, what’s the reception been like from your family and network back home? Are you back in Athens now? Where’s Beth central?
I am back in Ohio now. I am lucky to have great friends and family. They still see me as the same girl but they are also very supportive of me. Right now, I have been traveling a lot for work and it gets hard sometimes.

So where to now Beth? More glamorous Playboy events and of course onward and upward with your career? Where do you see yourself going?
Yes. I will be working more with Playboy. I want to continue modeling and also get more into acting. I have done a few commercials but I am hungry for more! I don’t want to stop until I have made a household name for myself.
