British fashion magazine Dazed and Confusedis turning heads and pushing buttons with their controversial September cover. The opening line “Azealia Banks gets reactions,” couldn’t hold truer in light of the featured rap artist toting a bright pink condom as if it were a Cuban cigar. The image was finally released in a tweet from the magazine saying, “So @AZEALIABANKS is our Sept cover star! Want to see what the fuss is about? Shot by @sharifhamza styling Karen Langley.” According to editors in a recent tweet the cover has already been banned in seven countries.
Ridiculous? Gross? Awesome? Who cares? Well technically we should all care since condoms stop the spread of deadly viruses and seven countries are saying, “Nope, too far.” But hey, who needs to be reminded on a friendly magazine cover anyhow? Let us know what you think.
